Stamping Technician

This position involves previous experience with metal stamping presses. This person will be responsible for the following:
•    Attaining efficiency targets (work with equipment and die maintenance on countermeasures to prevent reoccurrence)
•    Planning for successful die changes (less than 5 minutes) and coil changes (less than 3 minutes)
•    Maintaining Kanban system on one press
•    Quality – Work with Group Leader to determine countermeasures for internal and external rejects
•    Housekeeping – Daily organization and cleanliness for one press and surrounding area
•    Following TBTN’s standard work procedures, safety, quality, and productivity
This person must be a team player and a goal oriented achiever capable of assisting in a fast paced, work environment. Experience as a setup operator is beneficial in this role. Experience in automotive metal stamping and/or welding would be a plus. Experience and accuracy with precision measuring instruments is a must. Ability to accurately read blue prints is a must. Qualified applicants will have good communication skills (both verbal and written) and effective interpersonal skills. This person must have a basic mathematical aptitude. Computer experience, specifically: Office software (Excel, Word, etc.) would be a plus. This person must be able to work with a minimum of direct supervision. Successful candidates must be willing and able to work overtime including weekends with minimum notice.
