Tool and Die Technician

General Summary:
I. This position will be responsible for investigating, analyzing and repairing injection molding tooling.

II.    Essential Job Functions: 
a. Repair and perform preventative maintenance on injection molding tools and machines.
b. Perform engineering changes to tooling.
c. Operate tool and die equipment as required.
d. Robot programming, wiring and some PLC will be required.
e. Perform all work within OSHA and plant safety guidelines.

III.    Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: 
a.    Must be willing to work any shift

Education: 
a.    Machine Tooling Associates Degree preferred
b.    High school diploma or GED required

Experience: 
•    Three years of relevant experience required

Personal/Technical Skills: 
•    CNC Machining
•    Ability to read blue prints
•    EDM experience
•    Surface grinding
•    Welding 
•    PLC knowledge
•    Ability to perform manual hand tool grinding
•    Effective communication skills
•    Ability to work in a team environment
•    Kaizen mind set

Language Skills: English, both written and oral, is required

Computer/Software: Solid working knowledge and experience of Microsoft applications

Work Environment/Conditions: Manufacturing plant with moderate noise levels

Plant: Manufacturing plant

Travel: Up to 30% at times

V.    Physical Demands:
Capable of standing for periods of time and maybe required to lift up to 30lbs
